Relay Stages

Here is a short explanation on what files shall be exported from OS12, given by a comment by pimatherror on Apr 6, 2026, in the GitHub Issue: Relays support #58.
As of Oct 16, 2026, after testing with the possible files exported from OS2010, we conclude that in the current state of the project there is no clean way to export the splits from finished runners whose team has no final result. More details below.
Test results with OS12
Tested uploading 2 xml file types and getting full data for relay competitions (splits included, but not online/radio controls).
Official Results (by class):
Final results for teams with final result: either complete team has finished or a member is not qualified (MP/DISQ/DNF/DNS...).
This file can include splits with the "extended format" configuration:
Note: "Formato extendido" makes the XML generated file (by Export -> XML IOF 3.0) to include split times. Without this checkbox the splits are not included in the XML.
O-Replay Desktop and Backend already processes the split times and final positions (from this XML file) correctly.
Provisional Results (by class):
For live coverage of the event, we want info about results of current legs. This XML file does NOT include split times, so Official Results are still necessary. Note that there is no need to upload split times from the "Results -> Splits -> by class" window/report (which only allows a CSV export, no XML). Hence, there is is no need to have 2 client instances reading CSV and XML respectively
Note: "Resultado total" with "Formato extendido" makes the XML generated file to include ALL current legs. Without this checkbox the XML only includes same teams as in Official Results.
Test results with OS2010
Same files as for OE12.
However, the splits included in the XML are only for those runners in teams with final result. Therefore, a third file is needed.
The third extra file for splits shall be a CSV from the Results --> Splits menu.
The O-Replay Desktop Client is able to process those CSV files, but it deletes the team results.
It fixes itself when uploading again any of the XML files, though it will look bad in the meantime between the CSV and XML upload.
For now, a workaround would be to export the CSV splits manually, followed by a manual XML export right after the CSV file is processed, minimizing the "bad-looking" time.
If no CSV is uploaded, only runners whose team has a final result will have splits available.
